They say that Seville has a special color, and perhaps it is because it is bathed by the Mediterranean sun almost 365 days of the year. So, if we had to determine the best time to visit Seville,we would say that Seville has and keeps its magic during the four seasons. In any case, let's break it down.

Is spring the best time to visit Seville?

From the end of March to the beginning of June, the capital of Seville comes out of its winter lethargy to experience the light and color. The weather is warm, mild and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 26°C, rising as summer approaches. The saying "April showers" is certainly true in Seville, although it rains more in winter. But since the city is celebrating, there's nothing an umbrella or a good raincoat won't fix.

Because in springtime, Seville shines in all its splendor with the April Fair and Holy Week, and the capital of Seville gets dressed up for the occasion. The Book Fair and the pilgrimage of El Rocío also take place during these dates. For this reason, for many there is no doubt that this is the best time to visit Seville. As the daylight hours stretch, the city is impregnated with a wonderful scent of orange blossom that mingles with the incense of the processions. Of course: it is high season. So, we recommend that you rent your car in Seville and book accommodation in advance.

Summer

Andalusia is one of the hottest regions in Europe. With temperatures averaging around 36°C (there are days that exceed 40°C), the heat in the capital of Seville is truly suffocating. In addition, the heat increases with humidity (due to the proximity of the Guadalquivir River). Consequently, and although it may seem strange, it is low season in the city, which, of course, has its enormous advantages: less crowds and queues, more accommodation on offer and better prices. Is summer the best time to visit Seville? In this sense, yes it could be.

It is true that it is almost impossible to do outdoor activities during the day. But you can visit historic buildings and museums of great interest and reserve time to stroll around from 8pm. It is then, when the breeze appears, when the locals come out of their houses and the streets of Seville are filled with life and vibrancy. So, in summer, the sun goes down later and Seville is still a party. And you shouldn't miss the evening concerts in the gardens of the Alcazar.

Fall

The haze is subsiding and the fall season brings a respite in terms of heat. Although the weather changes from October (26°C maximum average) to November (20°C), the atmosphere is generally cool and mild. The sun continues to shine and the days enjoy good natural light, although the first rains are beginning to fall.

You can once again stroll through the city's parks, which are transformed into a beautiful kaleidoscope of dark greens and earthy colors. The last glimmers of summer can also be seen in the joy of the Sevillians. The season is high again at the end of September and the beginning of October and then drops again in November. The capital of Seville can be discovered in a relaxed way and it is the time to find great deals on accommodation. In addition, fall is the best time to visit Seville culturally, because between even and odd years alternate the Bienal del Flamenco and the 'September is Flamenco' festival.

Winter

The cold also hits Seville in winter, although in a much milder form than in most Spanish towns. So much so that maximum temperatures in December hover around 17° and can even rise to 20° on some days. January and February are somewhat harsher months, with some precipitation, but the weather is still mild. And, even though the city becomes a bit grayer, for many this is the best time to visit Seville.

Free from hordes of tourists, you won't have to wait in line for an hour to climb the Giralda. Not to mention that the Christmas craft markets that are installed next to the cathedral are a delight.

We have already seen that Seville is a marvel at any time of the year. Now all you have to do is choose the date, plan your trip and book your rental car and accommodation. Choose OK Mobility to enjoy a memorable trip to Seville!
