There are parts of our country that are really wonderful, full of possibilities, that you have to visit at least once in your life. At OK Mobility we want you to be able to know these places, some truly idyllic, that are within your reach without leaving our country. Today, our blog is going to talk about one of those spectacular places: Ibiza.

A marvel within your reach: Ibiza

This island lies in the Mediterranean Sea and is one of the Balearic Islands. It covers an area of 572 square kilometers where you will find absolutely everything you need. Its capital city is named like the island, and there you can find endless leisure options: nature, culture... Of course, we must point out the beauty of Ibiza’s beaches and covers, the blue of the water and its tourism.

The island has a pleasant climate, perfect for a dip in any of the wonderful beaches or coves you can find here.

What you should not miss in Ibiza

It is, without doubt, an attractive destination for national and foreign tourists, who book its hotels and stroll through its streets and markets every year. It is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and this island deserves it. In addition, Ibiza has a well-known hippy legacy from the 1960's, when many of these people decided to come and stay.

We are going to tell you about some of the attractions of this wonderful place that you should not miss.

Torre d'en Valls

It is a watchtower on the coast to warn the population of Barbary pirates. It is one of the 7 that have been preserved, and this one in particular is located in Santa Eulalia des Riu. It was built in 1763 but part of it was destroyed in a massive explosion of gunpowder. In 1982 it was rebuilt and acquired the appearance it has today.

When you walk there, you will find yourself in a wild area with fantastic views that you can enjoy from the small cove of Pou des Lleó.

You can also get there in one of the cars that we offer in this island, and you can park very close to it.

Xarraca cove

If you've ever seen pictures of Ibiza, you will have seen pictures of this wonderful bay. It is located in an unspoiled setting, where construction (fortunately) has not yet arrived.

Here you can enjoy crystal clear waters as blue as the sky, and peace and tranquility. It is not really very large, about 90 meters long and 15 meters wide, but that is more than enough space to enjoy the sun of Ibiza, swim and eat at the beach bar that is there.

Portinantx: the quietest Ibiza

In the north of the island of Ibiza we find a small, quiet village which is perfect for disconnecting from everything. Its streets full of white houses and its coastline (including Porto beach or Arenal de Gros) are the perfect combination for a good rest in the less hectic side of Ibiza.

Es Vedra Islet

Within the Natural Park of Cala d'Hort, Cap Llentrisca and Sa Talaia lies the islet Es Vedrá. It is a rock formation that rises to 400 meters high. It is very important because it contains a lot of flora and fauna (up to 116 plant and bird species)

One curious fact about this place is that it was the place of residence of a barefoot Carmelite during the XIX century. Moreover, this islet belongs to the so-called Triangle of Silence where sailors and pilots have claimed to see UFOs.

Can Marça Cave

In the north of Ibiza we find this huge cave, which for many years was the refuge of bandits and smugglers. It was not until the 1970s that a speleologist discovered its true importance.

Full of stalactites and stalagmites, lakes and waterfalls, this cave is a natural treasure of Ibiza. When you come, remember to bring your camera or you will regret it.

The castle of Ibiza

Another part of Ibiza that you simply have to see is the castle next to the Cathedral. Today its ruins can be seen next to buildings from the XVI and XVIII centuries, such as the Keep and the Governor's House. You can't miss the staircase that leads up to it, made by a local architect, Elías Torres.

As you can see, Ibiza has wonderful places that will undoubtedly delight anyone who comes to this island. Do you know them?
