The best routes in Mallorca to discover all its charms

If you don't want to miss out on anything, follow these 4 routes and you're sure to have a great trip!

Route from Valldemossa to the port of Sóller

We begin this ranking with the route that will take you to the island's biggest attraction, the Tramuntana mountain range. A mountain range that extends northeast of the coast, and was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. The route starts in the beautiful town of Valldemossa, which is located 24 kilometers from Palma.

Then you will cross a part of the Sierra de Tramuntana, where you will not have time to get bored. Not only because of its incredible landscapes and viewpoints that will leave you speechless, but because it is full of twists and turns that will keep you captivated all the way. Following the MA-10 road for approximately 7 kilometers, you will reach the town of Deià, located between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Here you can enjoy panoramic views that will be hard to forget. This route will end in Sóller, which is 10 kilometers away from Deià. Strolling through the old town and strolling through the port you will find several bars to enjoy the local cuisine.

Route from the west coast to Sa Calobra

We will start this route along the MA-10 road, from the medieval village of Fornalutx. Then taking the same route and after 18 kilometers you must take a detour to the bay of Sa Calobra, where its name says it all, as it means "the snake". You will get to the MA-2141 road and embark on a route full of curves, including the famous 270-degree tie curve, as well as bends and cliffs. And although it is a short route, only 14 kilometers, it is not suitable for everyone, but it is suitable for those who love to hike.

It is a walk that is worth doing, as you will enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains and the coast. In addition, it will give you the opportunity to get to know the towns along the way. As if this were not enough, at the end you will reach one of the most spectacular beaches of the island, Sa Calobra, a cove of crystal-clear waters sheltered between two rocky cliffs.

Route through the south of Mallorca

This 30-kilometer route starts in Pollença and its port, then you will take the MA-2210 road to Cabo de Formentor, with a distance of 19 kilometers.

During this route you can stop at beautiful coves such as Figuera, Murta or Pi de la Posada. Another mandatory stop is the Mal Pas viewpoint, as well as Talaia d'Albercutx, which offers a 360º view. Finally, you will finish the tour with a visit to the Faro de Formentor lighthouse and its magnificent beach, the Cala de Formentor.

Route through the north of Mallorca to Formentor

If you are passionate about white sand and crystal-clear sea, this is the route that we recommend, as it will give you the possibility to take a tour of the best coves in the world. This route is home to pristine beaches and captivating natural landscapes. Here, in addition to enjoying the scenery and a day at the beach in the sun, you can also enjoy various water activities such as snorkeling and surfing. Some of the beaches we recommend you visit are Cala Santanyí, Cala Llombards, Caló des Moro and Cala Mondragó.
