What to see in Fuerteventura

We suggest you start your adventure on the north coast of Fuerteventura, in Corralejo, a charming coastal town famous for its extensive sand dunes. From here, we suggest that you take a ferry to the island of Lobos. It is a small protected natural paradise where you can swim in pristine beaches and crystal clear waters. These waters are perfect for diving and observing the rich marine life.

Back in Corralejo, take some time to stroll around its lively center, full of stores, restaurants and bars with a vibrant atmosphere. Enjoy delicious Canarian food and try traditional dishes such as fresh grilled fish or papas arrugadas con mojo (wrinkly potatoes with chili pepper garlic sauce).

In the afternoon, you can go to the south of the island, where the beautiful Playa de Cofete awaits you. This isolated paradise will surprise you with its vast expanse of virgin sand and wild natural beauty. If you like hiking, you can’t miss the hike to the Mirador de Cofete, where you will have stunning views of the ocean and mountains.

Cobblestone streets and white houses

On your second day, spend the morning discovering the charm of Betancuria, the former capital of the island. This picturesque town will captivate you with its cobblestone streets, white houses and beautiful gardens. Visit the Church of Santa Maria, a historic building with interesting architecture, and the Museum of Arts and Crafts, where you can learn more about the culture and traditions of the Canary Islands.

Continue your trip inland to visit the Natural Park of the Corralejo Dunes, another impressive landscape of dunes and pristine beaches. Walk through the dunes and dive into the turquoise waters of the nearby beaches for a refreshing swim.

In the afternoon, you can go to the town of La Oliva, known for its colonial architecture and the Casa de los Coroneles, a large mansion that used to be the residence of the governor of the island. Don't miss the beauty of this historic building and explore the surrounding area to discover craft stores and cozy cafes.
