The attraction of this city for tourists are undeniable when they visit, despite being less popular than other destinations. And it may well be that true beauty lies in those lesser-known places. That's why today we tell you what to see in Valencia that does not appear in your traditional travel guide.

What to see that will make you love Valencia?

Although it is not a very large city, and it is easy to see the sights, unless you have someone who knows these places, they will often pass you by unnoticed. To ensure that you leave with a different image from other visitors, don't miss these places to see in Valencia!

Casa Judia

Built in 1930 and located in Carrer de Castello, this peculiar façade is inspired by the Art-Deco style, in which we can see the influence of Arab and Indian styles. The name ‘Jewish House’ comes from the eight-pointed star that contains the house number. Inside, there are only families going about their lives, but the originality of the facade is undeniable!

Monforte Gardens

If you like green spaces, you'll love this place! Here you will find extensive gardens with 33 marble statues, as well as an infinite number of plants and ponds. The lions that you see there were intended for the Parliament in Madrid, but in the end they stayed in this beautiful location. Unlike other gardens, such as those of the Turia riverbed, these are infinitely quieter.

Cabecera Park

Right next to Bioparc, you will find another of the places to see in Valencia during your visit. It is the Parque de Cabecera and here you can enjoy nature in all its splendour. There are several trails that are several kilometers long, water scooters, a children's area and even ponds with turtles. Locals usually go there for an afternoon picnic, so whether you like this idea or prefer hiking, this is the place to be!

Ruzafa neighborhood

This neighborhood has become the center of city’s nightlife at the weekends, as it has a multitude of restaurants and bars where you can have a drink, while the Carmen neighborhood is where tourists usually go. We recommend that you visit this area during the day, because you are bound to love its large colourful facades. If you find this style surprising, you should know that it used to be an Arab neighborhood.

Museum of Silence

This museum is actually the city's cemetery. But it is not like any other, since here you can visit the tombs of famous people such as Nino Bravo or Joaquín Sorolla. You can also take a tour and be dazzled by its beauty. There are several tours, such as ‘Women who made their mark’ or ‘Illustrious Figures’.

Cabañal neighborhood

If you like eating out, this neighborhood is a must-see in Valencia. It was a fishing quarter and, perhaps for this reason, the buildings of the houses are most particular. There are colourful buildings, tiled houses or huts, just as a few examples.

For this reason, it is currently considered of great cultural value, and it is a pleasure to get lost in its streets, which in some cases, resemble a labyrinth. Festivals are held here and it is home to several theater companies. Some points of interest are the fishermen's market or the houses on Reina and Sant Pere streets.

Trinity Bridge

Built in a Gothic style, it is the oldest in the city and probably one of the most charming. Unlike the rest, it is built with ashlar stone and has two sculptures to make it even more special.

L'Albufera wharf

This is possibly the most special place you will find in the city. Inside the Albufera Natural Park there is a pier where you can watch the sunset and even enjoy a boat ride around the park. And if you feel like getting into the water, go to the Garrofera beach. It is not aimed at tourism at all and is set among the dunes and vegetation of the Albufera Park, a paradise! And for your comfort, you can rent hammocks and sunshades.

If you want to be able to go all over the city without missing anything, we recommend that you rent a car or motorbike in Valencia for your holidays. This will save you time when travelling and you will be able to visit even more special places in this magical city. Check our prices!
