Valencia is a city with infinite possibilities. You will find opportunities for sunbathing on the beach, nightlife or even hiking and nature in the surrounding area. But if there is one thing that makes it stand out, it is its City of Arts and Sciences. In its vast area you will be able to learn as well as enjoy. It is a quite extensive complex that OK Mobility has proposed a top plan to make the most of your visit to this site.

What to know before visiting the City of Arts and Sciences

Before going on to see how the City of Arts and Sciences is divided, it is important for you to be aware of some facts. It is open 365 daysa year. It is open to the public from 10:00 to 21:00 in high season (between June 30 and September 9), from 10:00 to 19:00 in mid-season and from 10:00 to 18:00 in low season. In addition, some days may have different schedules or some modifications due to the health crisis, so you should check their schedules on their official website when planning your visit.

Regarding the price of tickets you can choose the option that gives you access for 3 consecutive days to the entire enclosure for 38.60€ or tickets to individual attractions, varying prices between 8€ and 31.30€ in the case of the Oceanographic. There is also the option of a combined attraction ticket, although if you want to get the most out of the experience you should opt for the full ticket.

Regarding the duration of the visit, it will depend entirely on you. If you are short on time, but still don't want to miss anything, you can see it all in one day. However, for a more relaxed visit, the oceanographic alone will take you a full day. The rest of the City of Arts and Sciences complexes will take you another full day.

To get to the City of Arts and Sciences you can do it by urban transport if you are staying in the city. If you are coming from the airport, you can arrive in a rental car.

What to see in the City of Arts and Sciences

As we have mentioned, the City of Arts and Sciences has several enclosures and attractions. All of them seek to raise awareness about the environment and disseminate science in that field.

The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum

This place is the one that serves as a museum within the City of Arts and Sciences. However, it offers a multitude of activities and has a very high level of interaction, so don't expect a traditional museum. Its motto is "DO touch" so it is perfect for both adults and children. It also has temporary exhibitions, so each visit will be something different.

The Oceanográfico, the jewel of the City of Arts and Sciences

This is undoubtedly the star player of the City of Arts and Sciences.

It has 7 different environments where you can see more than 45,000 specimens of 500 different species. In addition, there are usually daily exhibitions at the dolphinarium. If you are hesitating over which spaces to visit, this is probably the last one you should consider missing out on.

The umbracle

This site is free to access and in it you will find a huge garden with several sculptures. It has a viewpoint from which you can admire the entire City of Arts and Sciences, so it's a great option if you just want to see the place from the outside. In addition, in summer the Mya terrace opens its doors to enjoy a drink in this emblematic location.

The Hemisfèric

This is a large 3D digital cinema with a wrap-around concave screen. The viewing varies, although they usually show immersive documentaries of approximately 45 minutes in length. In addition, throughout the day they usually show a children's movie, so it is advisable to check the viewing schedule before visiting.

Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía

This venue offers operas, concerts, zarzuelas and classical music shows.

It usually opens its doors from October to November, although you can visit the interior outside of this period with a reservation. It is a building that is quite far from what the rest of the City of Arts and Sciences offers, but it is an option that will surely be of interest to many.
